Why You Can’t Get Past Mirage Tower Floor 2 in Pokemon Emerald
No. This is not a bug.
You are not supposed to progress through Mirage Tower at this point.
Why This Feels Confusing
Mirage Tower appears in the desert as a full structure you can enter.
The first floor works normally, which makes it feel like a standard dungeon.
When you reach the second floor, the path looks clear, but stepping forward causes you to fall immediately.
Nothing in the game explains why this happens, so it can feel like something is broken or missing.
What Actually Happens
The cracked floor is designed to collapse as soon as you step on it.
There is no way to avoid it or move past it at this stage.
This is not caused by timing, positioning, or player input.
This is intentional. The game uses this to control progression.
You have reached a point that exists before the required condition is met, so the game prevents further progress.
What This Does NOT Affect
This does not break your save.
This does not block your progress.
This does not cause you to miss anything permanently.
You can continue the main story normally.
In Short
You cannot complete Mirage Tower yet.
This is intentional, and it will become accessible later as you progress further in the story.
